Inspirational Quote of the Day:
"You and I are made of stardust. We are the stuff of exploded stars. We are therefore, at least 1 way that the Universe knows itself. That to me, is astonishing.” - Bill Nye

Pitter-patter rain falling steadily down with no wind in sight. Hissing tires rolling out of town as walkers stay inside. A warmer 50 to start as the heavy gray clouds keep in the warmth. Parking filling up with a flotilla of ocean kayak seekers as the usual morning crew has taken the day off. Dressed in slick layers for protection, through the gates we go to feast our eyes on what Mother Nature holds today.

CHANNEL:  WNW swell causing mass confusion in the form of storm swell. White water washing machine churn in the Channel proper with waves not forming to rideable slides. As the tide rises along with the storm swell, the outlook looks less than desirable. Best to ride out the storm on land.

PATCH:  6 kayaks and one SUP playing a game of keep away from any ocean motion. All are winning and tied for the prize of no waves caught. I hear the trophy celebration will be held when high tide peeks this afternoon.
