From San Francisco/Marin

From 101 take the Stinson Beach/Mill Valley exit and follow Highway 1 north. It will take about 45 minutes to get to Stinson Beach, on a curvy scenic road. Drive straight through Stinson and follow Highway 1 along the lagoon.

Directly after the lagoon ends, take the first left turn. This is an unmarked turn so keep your eyes open. You will reach a T and turn left again onto Olema Bolinas Rd. The Locals have taken down the Bolinas 2 Mile sign.

Then you will go around the other side of the lagoon and come to another T—turn left onto Horseshoe Hill Rd, there will be a plant nursery on the corner to your left.

You will pass a school and drive up a little hill. Go straight at the stop sign. As you come into Bolinas, make a right turn after the lumber yard onto Brighton Avenue.

Brighton Avenue will dead-end at Brighton Beach.

Before you reach the beach you will see the 2 Mile Surf Shop located at 22 Brighton, behind the Post Office.

From Petaluma

Turn onto D Street, then continue onto the Petaluma Point Reyes Road and follow it past the Nicasio Reservoir. At the stop sign after the Nicasio Reservoir continue straight onto the Platform Bridge Road. Turn right at Sir Francis Drake Blvd and follow that to the "T" intersection with Highway 1 in Olema. Turn left onto Highway 1 (also called Shoreline Highway) and follow it past Dogtown.

After Dogtown and before you reach the lagoon, take a right turn onto Olema Bolinas Road. This is an unmarked turn so keep your eyes open.

You will drive along the lagoon and come to another T - turn left onto Horseshoe Hill Road, there will be a plant nursery on the corner to your left.

You will pass a school and drive up a little hill. Go straight at the stop sign. As you come into Bolinas, make a right turn after the lumber yard onto Brighton Avenue.

Brighton Avenue will dead-end at Brighton Beach.

It takes about 45 minutes to an hour from the Golden Gate bridge or Petaluma if there is no traffic. Parking is limited so we encourage you to carpool!
