Daily Surf Report - 8/11/2017

Inspirational Quote of the Day:
"A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new." - Albert Einstein

Low tide vibes with consolidated rides as those looking for excitement turn elsewhere.  Stoke seekers and secret keepers do remain and suit up without a care of conditions.  These are the curators of the flame and fan the fires for all of us.  Meanwhile we have more August morning fog but no winds and a tepid temp of 57F.  Only minor touches of NW windswell with a suggestion from the S under more positive tides.  Mornings are currently for contemplation and warm beverages.  Afternoons may hold different opportunities.

CHANNEL: Bottomed out and hitting rock bottom with no water over which to Pass Go.  Residual NW swell may permeate or penetrate but not until the noontime whistle.  Bide your time though temper expectations and remember the best surfer is the one having the most fun.

PATCH:  Pelican pond and rightly so with rock exposures and bait fish pools.  Midday manifesto decrees it is worth a look during any of the p.m. hours.
