Daily Surf Report - 5/18/2017

Inspirational Quote of the Day:
"It's what you learn after you know it all that counts." - John Wooden

Radiant gradients prevail as the sun creeps over the hills and illuminates the day.  Tranquility washes over us as first visages come into focus.  A day for internal exploration and possible water excursions.  Only a mid period NW windswell and a germinal SW swell to whet our appetites.  The clarity above can only lead to guidance below as the sun shines brightly and the temps are 48F.  No winds to confound or cloud judgement yet the tides recede moment to moment.

CHANNEL:  As the water levels deplete so do the options as swells of consequence do not currently infiltrate.  A seemingly empty lineup may speak volumes to those short sighted sliders.  The immediate option may not be directly in front of your face but is out there if the fire inside truly burns hot.

PATCH:  If the SW swell matures and proliferates here is where it will best be felt.  For now the tide drains and the energy dissipates - save for a lone paddle-boarder who remains young at heart.  Loggers may have selections here as the day progresses but the even keel appearance holds no excitement currently.
